{"id":12633,"date":"2019-10-29T16:21:07","date_gmt":"2019-10-29T20:21:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mentordiscoverinspire.org\/2019\/10\/29\/thank-you-kids\/"},"modified":"2021-04-25T09:47:22","modified_gmt":"2021-04-25T13:47:22","slug":"thank-you-kids","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mentordiscoverinspire.org\/thank-you-kids\/","title":{"rendered":"Thank You Kids"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\"><strong>Chris Christopher<\/strong>\n<strong>MDI Contributor<\/strong><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>At first this started as a piece of gratitude for Colin &#8211; a &#8220;thank you son&#8221; &#8211; but I realize I can not talk about one without the other so here you go.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the past 26 years I have traveled on a journey as a father of a son Colin, and for 25 of those years as father of a daughter as well. &nbsp;I am blessed with two  remarkable children. They both worked hard to become educated,  they both have responsible jobs. They consistently reach out to their  parents and they come home to visit.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My son lives nearby and we see each  other pretty consistently.&nbsp; Not long ago he joined my men\u2019s team and in  October he successfully completed the men\u2019s weekend.&nbsp; I have the luxury of being a father and having a great friend.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have high hopes for both of my  children.&nbsp; I have hopes for grandchildren.
